  6.   This is a maintenance release of the GIFtest package.  Changes are as
  7.   follows:
  8.  
  9.     1) Minor bug fix in the FIXLOG utility that would sometimes cause
  10.        it to try to fix an already FIXed log file.
  11.  
  12.     2) New GINDEX utility that was left out of the ßeta 16 release.
  13.        This utility is needed to create the new log file expected by
  14.        GIFtest ß16.  See GINDEX.DOC for more information.

  16.     3) There was no change to the GIFtest program itself.

  19.                             * I M P O R T A N T *
  20.  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

  22.  Starting with ß14, GIFtest uses a  different LogFile format that is not
  23.  compatible with any previous versions.  This was done for two reasons:
  24.  
  25.     1) To speed up dupe-checking (especially on systems with a log of GIFs)
  26.     2) To provide more useful info in the log file
  27.  
  28.  Before you  can use this new  version, you *MUST* convert  your old LOGFILE to
  29.  the  new format using the included FIXLOG.EXE conversion utility.
  30.  
  31.  NOTE: This step is necessary even if you are already using ß14, because ß15
  32.  introduces some more changes to the log file format.  Therefore, you *MUST*
  33.  use the FIXLOG.EXE program included with ß15 to convert your log file before
  34.  you can use the ß15 version of GIFtest.
